Bank Holiday Monday in Canterbury

I'm someone who doesn't like to stay in the same place for too long, so I'm constantly travelling between my home in Hertfordshire and Canterbury for University. I haven't been in Canterbury since the end of May, when I finished second year of Uni, so it was lovely to make a trip down there for the bank holiday weekend. I went to stay with my boyfriend for a couple of days and we had a lovely time relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. On bank holiday Monday we went exploring in the countryside with one of our friends and it was such a nice and different way to spend the day. Usually university life gets busy with lots of assignments, societies and events, so it was great to just have a day enjoying the outdoors and sunshine.

We decided to go walking in Tyler Hill village, just behind our University campus. It felt like back home: pretty and peaceful; I could hardly believe this was only footsteps from busy Canterbury. I'm a country girl at heart: I love the outdoors, struggle with crowds and I really like open spaces, so this was the perfect way for me to spend the day. Minus the 'eww I don't want to walk in the muddy stream', I felt right at home.

I'm so glad I took my camera with me, as there were so many scenic areas to photograph.

I had such a lovely day and weekend. It's made me realise how much I'm looking forward to going back to Uni in September. Canterbury is such a beautiful city.

Thanks for reading my blog today.
How did you spend your bank holiday Monday?
