5 things to do this bank holiday weekend!

It's the August bank holiday weekend and it's actually sunny! How lucky are we, to still have Summer weather at the very end of August? As we only get 8 bank holidays a year, it's important to make the most of the bank holiday weekend and enjoy the extra day off. You can get so much more done with an extra 24 hours, so I thought I'd share some ideas of how you could spend it!

1. Have a picnic!

Last week's #BloggerPitP event has given me picnic fever and I can't think of a better thing to do this weekend! With the lovely weather, why not get out to your local park and have a picnic with friends or family? It's an excuse to enjoy the sunshine and also indulge in some slightly different food! Make sure you grab a pretty picnic mat, as it'll help make your picnic set up look even lovelier. Thanks to the folks at Hammam Havlu for my pink one!

*I was kindly gifted these products at Blogger Picnic in the Park last weekend. Thanks to Graze, Ape Snacks and Propercorn.

2. Watch the movies you've been meaning to watch for ages.

Okay so this one involves being inside, but have a movie night one evening! You've got more time this weekend, so you could watch the films you've wanted to see for a while!

3. Go on a day trip.

Make the most of the trains and take a trip to a city or town nearby. Being a tourist here in the UK is so much fun; there's so many amazing places to visit!

4. Have a BBQ.

An absolute must this bank holiday weekend! We had one at work last night and it was such a lovely way to say goodbye to Summer! It was actually my last day at work yesterday before going travelling and back to uni; this Summer's gone way too quickly!

5. Sit outside and enjoy some ice cream!

It'll be too cold for it soon, so sit back, relax and have some ice cream in the sunshine!

Have you got any plans for the bank holiday weekend?

Thanks for reading my blog today!
